My grandpa and great-grandma came over today. They're a lot of fun to talk to! My great-grandma gave me a gluten-free cook book for my birthday! It's the first serious cookbook I've ever owned. I can't wait to try out some of the recipes! The sushi sounds interesting...

While they were here, Josh kept on locking Bethany's shoes up to the ancient sewing machine we have in our front room. That boy is dangerous! Now I'm going to have to keep my shoes with me at all times. *grumble grumble grumble.*

Oooh, speaking of sewing machines, I bought a really cool book on how to sew dolls. :D I can't wait to experiment with it! I really want to learn how to sew. At the moment, I'm a total dunce when it comes to a needle and thread! As a result, I'll probably accidentally make a few hideous dolls while I'm still a beginner. My family will be scared for life. In years to come, they will still be having nightmares about my sewing creations gone wrong. However, "Things worth doing well are worth doing poorly-at first."
