Follow me, my pretties
To a land beyond the sea
We’ll laugh, dance, be merry,
And sing in harmony
We’ll laugh, dance, be merry,
And sing in harmony
Join me my darlings
Come and take my hand
We’ll take the road before us
To a magic fairyland
Come and take my hand
We’ll take the road before us
To a magic fairyland
So bury all your troubles
Throw away your fears
We all shall be together
In a land with no more tears
Throw away your fears
We all shall be together
In a land with no more tears
Profound, right? No not really, but I'm rather proud of it. After all, it's my first poem that actually sounds half way decent. Oh, but it needs a title. Any suggestions? Anyway, I hope you are all having a delightful week!
Love, Emily
you wrote that?! Nice! I liked it! Kind of skipped to the end to see who you were quoting, to find out that you were just quoting yourself. =)

Very nice, Emily! :) You do not really need a title for it. SLots of poems don't have titles. Emily Dickinson is one poet who rarely gave her poems titles.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys!
ReplyDeleteMaybe it doesn't need a title after all. If Emily Dickinson didn't give her poems titles, they must not need them. Still, if my poem had a title, it would feel so much more complete, you know?
Emily! That is a GREAT poem!!!!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering who wrote it at first then I saw that you wrote it!!!! AMAZING! Great job!! Speaking of writing stuff, I just finished my second story the other day! I'm really excited!
Alena and I miss you and Kirsten lots!
Praying for you two!

SECOND STORY?? That's awesome, Liz! Good for you!
ReplyDeleteYour back porch was always the best place for scribbling. I miss sitting back there, discussing all of our genius ideas... Good times, my friend, good times.
Wow... that's really good, Emily. At first I thought you were quoting. =) I love it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day Emily!
ReplyDeleteGod Bless!
