Happy St. Patrick's Day! I hope you all wore green, 'cause I didn't...and was pinched for it. (Revenge shall be swift and deadly, I assure you.) Kirsten and I didn't even know that the day had any special significance whatsoever. It was just Thursday. But while we were in the grocery store, we kept on seeing people in green. Someone even dyed their pigtails for the occasion. "Wait, what day is St. Patrick's Day?" Kirsten asked. We were standing in one of the main aisles in Woodman's. "I thought it was Sunday." I said, then suddenly remembered. "No, wait! It's today!" We quickly danced a leprechaun jig to make up for our unfestiveness. (unfestivity?)
Paul has a fascination (perhaps addiction would be a better word for it) with popping balloons. Since today we were celebrating his birthday, we decided that perhaps we could let him have fun...just this once. Before he stepped inside, Kirsten handed him a pin. "Oh, Is this a magical pin?" he asked, then stepped through the door. "OH MY GOODNESS!" We had flooded the front room with balloons. Needless to say, Paul thoroughly enjoyed himself. All in all, it was a great day. I ate two pieces of cake and was offered a third. Can life get any better than this?
The other night, Dad started calling me. I raised my head to see him handing me a plate of food. Suddenly, he went transparent and faded away. I was lying there, staring at an empty room. Proof that I need to eat more before going to bed. =P
With that, I take my leave. I hope you all have a lovely week, and Lord willing I shall see you all soon.
Your friend, Emily
I wanted to be festive but I wasn't. I had the barest amount of green in my outfit, just enough to not get pinched.
ReplyDeleteWow! You hallucinated your dad? Freaky.
Oh Happy St. Patrick's Day Emily!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, I didn't wear any green yesterday either =) But I didn't
get pinched =) lol! But I did paint my nails green just for St. Patty's day! =)
God bless! Miss you and Kirsten!
And praying for you two girls!!!
A Servant 4 Christ,
Lizzie
Not celebrate St. Patrick's Day properly? *horror* That is simply dreadful!
ReplyDeleteHmph. I dressed in green... and ate a thoroughly Irish dinner... although, are you Irish? If not, I suppose you can get away with it. *sage nod* =P
I'm glad you both escaped the evil claws of death!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't call it hallucinating. It was more like opening my eyes while still half asleep. No worries! I don't think I'm going insane...well, not yet anyway!:D
ha! I WORE GREEN, and I tried my very best to get everyone else to wear green too (but I failed to convince them). Although I didn't eat a very Irish dinner I did make cupcakes and dyed the frosting green. :)
ReplyDeleteVery funny about Paul's baloons! What a clever idea to do for someone who likes to pop them! haha :)
